At Argent, we don't just make jewellery, we handcraft heirlooms that carry meaning. From our light-filled workshop in Tawonga South, nestled beneath the Victorian Alps, we create each piece slowly and sustainably using recycled precious metals and traditional techniques. Our team is small, talented, and supportive. 

As the business grows, we're excited to welcome new hands to our studio. 
 
The Role

We're looking for a Customer Service and Sales Representative to join the team in-studio and become the first point of contact for our customers as they bring their dream pieces to life. 

You'll host in-studio consultations, build mockups, work closely with our jewellers, and manage email enquiries from first hello to final handover. The right person is warm, switched on, and excited about building real relationships with clients while helping us run a smarter, more streamlined customer experience. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves people and loves doing things well. You'll need to be confident on email, confident in conversation, and excited about using technology and AI to do the job better than it has been done before. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Client consultations. Host in-studio consultations with clients (often for engagement rings, wedding bands and custom pieces). Listen well, ask great questions, and translate their ideas into a clear brief.
  • Working with the workshop. Partner closely with our jewellers to bring client ideas to life. Build mockups and concept visuals in Canva so clients can see where things are heading.
  • Sales & quoting. Guide clients through the journey from first enquiry to placed order. Confidently quote, close, and follow up. Build long-term relationships, not just transactions.
  • Email & enquiry management. Reply to incoming customer emails, DMs and enquiries with warmth, care and a real eye for detail. Manage the inbox so nothing slips.
  • Order coordination. Be the link between the client and the workshop. Track orders, manage timelines, and keep clients informed at every stage.
  • Dispatch & Packaging: Packing and presenting customer orders to Argent's quality standards; preparing shipping labels and lodging parcels with Australia Post or courier services: 
  • Aftercare. Support customers post-sale with sizing, resizes, repairs and care advice. Make sure they feel looked after long after the purchase.
  • AI-powered workflow. Use Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools to draft emails, prep consultation notes, research stones and references, and generally make your day faster and smarter. Bring fresh ideas on how we could be using them better.
  • Tech & process. Help us find ways to do things better, faster and easier. Whether that's a new template, an automation, a smarter workflow or a better tool, we want someone who is always looking for the smart way.
  • In-studio experience. Help keep the studio looking beautiful and welcoming for every client who walks through the door.
 
About You
  • Strong sales experience, ideally consultative. We're open to industry. You know how to listen, build trust and close confidently.
  • A real people person. Warm, present, easy to be around. You make clients feel comfortable from the first hello.
  • Genuinely tech-savvy. You actively look for ways to make your work easier, better and faster.
  • AI-ready. You've already been playing with Claude (or ChatGPT) and have a sense of how to use them well in a real job.
  • Comfortable in Canva, and quick to learn other design, CRM and admin tools.
  • Confident communicator on email and in person. Strong writer with a friendly, professional tone.
  • Detail-oriented. Ring sizes, stone specs, quotes, delivery dates. The little things matter here.
  • Organised, proactive and self-directed. Happy working independently while still being part of a small team.
  • An eye for beautiful things and a genuine interest in jewellery, design or craft.

Please note: This is an in-studio role based at our Tawonga South workshop. Applicants should be able to reliably travel to the studio for their working days. Reasonable adjustments can be discussed where required.
